
The Kate Greenaway Medal, established in 1956 in honor of the children's book illustrator Kate Greenaway, is an annul award that is presented to an illustrator of children's literature in the UK who exhibits outstanding work. The winner of the award receives a golden medal and £500 worth of books to donate to the library of their choice.
