Faculty Guidelines
Faculty members teaching courses at Campbell may place materials on
E-Reserves. A print copy of materials selected for E-Reserves will still be
available in the Reserve Collection for students to use.
NOTICE: The copyright law of the United States (
Title 17 U.S. Code)
governs the making of photocopies of copyrighted materials. The person using
this system is liable for any infringement.
General Guidelines
- E-Reserves are made available at the specific request of the instructor.
- Please read our Electronic Reserves Policy.
- Access to E-Reserves is limited to the students and faculty of a particular course.
- A password is required to access electronic reserve material. The instructor will
submit the password and will be responsible for informing students.
- Print materials, such as journal articles, book chapters, course notes, and exams, will
be scanned and made available via the Web in portable document format (PDF). Please
submit print materials with a completed Reserve Request Form,
available via the Web and or in the Reserve Room. Complete citations for each item
must be provided on the Form.
- Items to be scanned must be clean, first generation copies of material with no black
margin or center stripe, and no bigger than 8 1/2 x 11 inches.
- Electronic files and images in commonly recognized file formats, such as Microsoft
Word, text, and html, may also be
submitted. These files may be emailed as attachments to reserve@campbell.edu, or may be
submitted on diskette. They will be placed on E-Reserves in PDF format.
Please make sure that any descriptive or identifying information that should appear with
each file is provided in the email message.
