The knowledge will impress you. The creativity will inspire you. And the range and scope of students’ research topics will commend the relevance of academics at Campbell University to today’s world.

University faculty, students, staff and community will find all of these at the 2013 Wiggins Memorial Library Academic Symposium, an opportunity to engage in the work of student presenters from many of our academic and professional schools. Discussing everything from pharmaceutical advances to philosophical pursuits, ethnographic research to pressing concerns in criminal justice, presenters will reveal their approaches to important topics in short talks and, later, in a reception and poster session. Attendees can grab a chair and get a glimpse into disciplines within or outside of their own field, as their schedules allow; no advance reservations are required.

Students will present topics from among the following disciplines:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Clinical Research
  • Communication Studies
  • Criminal Justice
  • Divinity
  • English
