Title: Impact of an Alcohol Withdrawal Treatment Pathway on Hospital Length of Stay: A Retrospective, Single-Center Cohort Study

Duke Hospital implemented an alcohol withdrawal treatment pathway to establish a standardized approach to patients presenting with alcohol withdrawal. We assessed if the implementation of a care pathway produced positive benefits on hospital length of stay, ICU admissions, and proportion of patients discharged with a diagnosis of alcohol withdrawal delirium.
